Technology Cooperative

The Technology Cooperative provides participating districts with on-site instructional and technical services. Services include, but are not limited to, instructional workshops and follow-up, assistance with campus technology plans, software selection, network planning, design and troubleshooting, and technical assistance.

Purpose

To provide services to meet district and campus instructional technology goals and objectives for increasing student achievement and technology utilization; to provide districts with a personal contact liaison to ensure efficient and effective communication.

Instructional Services

  • Workshops specific to LEA needs
  • Follow-up on workshops
  • Use of ESC-2 labs for group training and software preview
  • Assistance for teachers and administrators with computer use
  • Model projects and units which effectively integrate the use of technology into curriculum

Technical Services

  • Assistance in the evaluation of planning and designing computer networks
  • Installation of software
  • Technical assistance for computer and network problems
  • Availability of on-call days
  • Assistance with writing and evaluation of bid specifications for hardware purchases

Administrative Services

  • Assistance with technology planning
    • District/Campus specific needs analysis and action plan for technology needs
    • Assistance with infrastructure designs
  • Assistance with grants and other funding opportunities, including e-Rate discounts.
